I just came back from a nice picnic/ roast with the ladies of the family. We baked bread and roasted sausages on an open fire. It was soooooo much fun to get down a dirty sitting on the mud and eating from a stick . I felt like I was back in time and I realized how much patience and time it took to prepare the fire and cook all of the food. Afterwards it really made me appreciate and enjoy the food I was eating when it was done.
I really enjoyed spending time with my 2 sisters, my mom, and the dog bonding around an open fire. We all smell smokey.
